A calibration system to calibrate measurement data from data acquisition systems (independent of manufacturer)
MESSRING has fulfilled a wish long cherished by many metrology engineers. The new DASCAL calibration system reduces the high cost of calibration and the long waiting times often associated with it. Script-controlled calibration software makes it possible to carry out calibration in various adjustable modes. The software controls and monitors the entire calibration sequence automatically. The results for each channel are compared automatically with the standard values, then stored in a database and printed in the form of a calibration report. The system can be installed in existing MESSRING NA33 data acquisition systems as a plug-in card or it is available as a stand-alone system. Standard calibrations, including static and dynamic calibrations, freely programmable calibration routines and the production of any type of graph (sine, triangular, pulse …) with 0..10 kHz and 0..±5V or 0..±0.05V can be performed simultaneously with a 16 bit resolution for 8 analog or 16 digital channels. The point in time that the data acquisition system is calibrated is determined by the user himself and the calibration unit is sent in once a year to have it recalibrated by the German Calibration Service. It goes without saying that all common data acquisition systems, regardless of manufacturer, can be calibrated using DASCAL.
